JOHANNESBURG - As most states kick off voting in the United States on Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris and her opponent, Donald Trump, have already tied in the tiny New Hampshire township of Dixville Notch.
Dixville was the first to tally its votes after all six residents gathered in the town in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Harris and Trump snapped up three votes each in Dixville.

Dixville Notch is located along the US-Canada border and has just six registered voters.
The township’s population was four in 2020, down from 12 in 2010.
According to US media, the residents have a tradition on voting day, with all six of their current residents casting their votes at midnight.
This includes four Republicans and two undeclared voters.
According to a report in the New York Times, in the presidential race in 2020, all five votes went to Democrat, Joe Biden. In 2016, Democrat Hillary Clinton got four votes and Trump, who eventually won the race, got two votes.
While Dixville may be an indication of how tight the race may be, the real fight will be in the battleground states such as North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
