JOHANNESBURG - Cape Town, get ready! With the theme "People of Hope," the Festive Lights Switch-On Adderley Street is getting ready to be a day of music, laughter, and solidarity that will never be forgotten.

Two of South Africa's most adored comedians, Alan Committie and Lunga Tshuka, will be leading the celebrations with their distinct charm and sense of humor on 1 December.

"Cape Town is a city of brilliant lights and even brighter people," Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis said, reinforcing the resilient and optimistic spirit that forms the foundation of the city's 'People of Hope'.

"We have the opportunity to unite, recognise the year that has passed, and celebrate the future at the Festive Lights Switch-On.

"The lineup this year will definitely get me in the holiday mood because it highlights the happiness, togetherness, and energy that make Cape Town the center of South Africa's holiday season."

From the beloved 3 Tons of Fun to Wynand and Cheree Strydom, the captivating harmonies of Blackbyrd, and the timeless dances of the Old Gentleman Dancers, you can anticipate a night full of varied performances.

Reggae icons Dr. Victor and the Rasta Rebels, the techno beats of Mörda, and the soulful sounds of Fagrie Isaacs and Candice Thornton are all part of the all-star lineup.

Additionally, DJ Caycee, Carletheia, Ouma Sarie, and Meneer Cee - fan favorites - will energise the Grand Parade stage with contagious enthusiasm.
