How SANParks is preparing to welcome visitors this festive season
SANParks has been preparing for the holiday crowds, with a particular focus on safety.

SANParks has announced its National State of Readiness ahead of the festive season.
It has implemented a range of preparations to accommodate holiday crowds, emphasising safety and environmental conservation.

Louw says they are working closely with provincial and local authorities, and civil society organisations, to improve safety in the parks.
He says they are improving their response time to crime in the parks.

He encourages park visitors to ensure someone knows where they are, always travel in groups, and take down emergency numbers.
He says make sure your phone is fully charged, and you have the proper gear.
