DA 'self-serving' after opposing no-confidence vote on axed KwaDukuza Mayor Lindi Nhaca: Siboniso Duma
During a council meeting that voted Nhaca out last week, the DA opposed to motion to have him removed, a move Duma says is not in the interest of the people of KZN.

KwaZulu Natal - The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has accused the Democratic Alliance (DA) of being selfish after opposing the vote of no confidence on axed KwaDukuza mayor Lindi Nhaca.
In September, the ANC suspended Nhaca, who was their mayor in the Kwadukuza local municipality from the party.
During a council meeting that voted Nhaca out last week, the DA opposed to motion to have him removed.

“Whilst we understand that we are cooperating with the da at a provincial level, we do believe that opposing the vote of no confidence in the mayor was not in the interest of the people of KwaZulu-Natal,” ANC provincial chairperson Siboniso Duma said.
Duma added the DA's stance was selfish.
“It is a selfish need, it is what they usually do - thinking always [to] advance their posture; DA’s posture was self-serving," said Duma
