Superstar Tyla, Gatsheni & Kabza De Small shine at SA Music Awards

JOHANNESBURG - Tyla, Kabza De Small, Mthunzi and Gatsheni were the biggest winners at this year's South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
The event took place on Saturday night at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Gauteng and celebrated 30 years of South Africa's rich musical heritage.
The night's first prize, Best Newcomer, went to international superstar Tyla. She was also named the Female Artist of the Year, and won the awards for Best Pop Album and the International Achievement Award.
One of the major honours of the evening was Male Artist of the Year, which went to Mskandi singer, Gatsheni, who also won Best Maskandi Album.
Kabza De Small and Mthunzi's Isimo, on the other hand, won the Motsweding FM Best Amapiano Album, Album of the Year, and Duo/Group of the Year awards.
