JOHANNESBURG - From only two flights to total dominance of the domestic air space.

They are known for their popular R1-R10 ticket sales and over the past decade, they have revolutionised air travel in South Africa, making it accessible and affordable for millions of passengers.

FlySafair is proud to mark a decade of operational excellence, innovative growth and commitment to making air travel more affordable and accessible.

Since its inaugural take-off from Cape Town to Johannesburg in 2014, the airline has flown just over 41 million passengers on more than 260,000 flights.

On their 10th anniversary, Kirby Gordon, chief marketing officer at FlySafair said: "Our journey over the past decade would not have been possible without our customers, employees and partners. Together, we have accomplished incredible feats, from industry firsts to memorable moments in the skies. Building on Safair’s almost 60-year history, FlySafair is rooted in innovation, community spirit and an unwavering dedication to making travel dreams a reality for all South Africans. We look forward to another 10 years of aviation success."

The airline was also the first to introduce 25-minute turnaround times at airports, enhancing its seamless point-to-point service for passengers, which earned them the prestigious Skytrax Award for best low-cost airline in Africa.
