NPA boss Batohi to review decision to withdraw corruption charges against Kodwa
This is regarding allegations that Kodwa received nearly R1.7 million in kickbacks from his co-accused, Jehan Mackay, in exchange for securing government contracts for his tech company.

JOHANNESBURG – The boss of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Shamila Batohi has announced she will review the decision that Gauteng’s Director of Public Prosecutions, Andrew Chauke, made to withdraw the corruption charges against former African National Congress (ANC) spokesperson Zizi Kodwa.
In a statement issued on Friday, the NPA indicated that it received a request from the Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigation (Hawks), asking Batohi to re-examine the decision to get Kodwa off the hook.
This is regarding allegations that Kodwa received nearly R1.7 million in kickbacks from his co-accused, Jehan Mackay, in exchange for securing government contracts for his tech company.
Kodwa’s charges were dropped earlier on Friday during his appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.
