CAPE TOWN - Police have foiled an attack on an e-hailing driver in Nyanga.
The officers on Wednesday responded to a request to share a location with the driver.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) members had warned the man of the dangers in that area, but he continued with the trip and the officers opted to follow him.
The police's Joseph Swartbooi:
"When they approached the identified area, they saw three suspicious men which they approached tactically and caught them in the act, busy communicating with accomplices to rob the approaching e-hailing driver. The police members detained the three males for the possession of presumed stolen property, attempted robbery and the possession of an imitation firearm."
