Murder of nightclub bouncer in focus in Modack trial

CAPE TOWN - The high-profile trial of alleged underworld gang boss, Nafiz Modack is set to continue on Tuesday with the spotlight on the murder of a nightclub bouncer.
Modack and 14 others face 122 charges related to various crimes, including the murder of top cop Charl Kinnear.
The State is set to bring in witnesses on Tuesday to testify about the murder of nightclub bouncer, Pitshou Falanga Ngwalo, in December 2017.
Modack and co-accused, Jaques Cronje and Petrus Visser, face charges of murder after Ngwalo was stabbed to death outside the Cubana nightclub in Green Point.
At the time, Modack and his alleged underworld rival, Jerome "Donkie" Booysen, were fighting for control of Cape Town's nightclubs.
Modack, Cronje, and Visser also face charges of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm related to another incident on the same night.
