CAPE TOWN - It's the second week of the matric exams.
It starts with English Paper 1 on Monday morning.
For the most part, the first week of the matric exams ran smoothly, but for some grade 12s in the Eastern Cape, it was rough, with heavy rains resulting in flooding and power outages in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
More than 300 candidates in Kariega could not complete their Computer Applications Technology Practical exam and they'll have to sit again next month.
This week includes a non-examination day on Thursday and several papers including History and Business Studies in morning and afternoon sessions.
The week ends with matrics sitting for maths on Friday.
