DURBAN - The South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) in Ntuzuma, north of Durban, is demanding that the two suspects linked to the murder of a primary school teacher in July, be denied bail.
Dudu Khumalo was shot and killed in the full view of pupils at the Phikiswayo Primary School in the area.
On Friday, police nabbed two suspects linked to her incident.
SADTU's Sithembile Ngema said: "They must remain behind bars, I mean it’s as simple and straightforward as that. A person that has no respect for human life, they don’t deserve to be outside."
She said they would continue to demand justice for their slain teacher.
"We want justice for our comrade, comrade Dudu was a mother, she was a teacher, and she deserved the life that she had made for herself, but that was senselessly taken away from her, so we are saying let them rot inside."
