JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) has introduced a political education foundation course to empower its leaders with knowledge of the party's history, principles, and key objectives.
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is launching the course at its national executive committee (NEC) meeting at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg.
This initiative aims to revive political education within the party as a strategy to renew and rebuild the organisation.
Ramaphosa said that the course would be compulsory for all ANC members.
"Political education is going to help in many ways. It’s going to enable our members to be confident in doing their work. It's going to broaden their own understanding and give them tools of understanding. This is a great moment. We have resolved at our conferences that the training and political education of our members should be paramount."
