The 'Evolve' singer, who hails from Phillipi in Cape Town told fans, "I share this with you, not for your sympathy... but so you are aware of the cruelty that this world has to offer."

"We're driving to the McDonalds, and all of a sudden we drive down this weirdly dark road... before I know it, there are two guys inside the car."

Adriaan commented, "We have never met. I just wanted to wish you well. This is extremely traumatic and I thank you for sharing this difficult ordeal. It really hit home for me because I’m in Ubers around Jhb all the time. Be safe get well and take care."
