'The Voice' star Anslin G recounts Johannesburg kidnap and robbery ordeal
The popular Cape Town-based singer and vocal producer has told his fans he is healing after the ordeal.

Former 'The Voice South Africa' contestant Anslin Gysman assures his fans he's OK after taking to social media this week to recount his harrowing experience of being kidnapped and robbed in Joburg.
In a heartfelt video post, the singer shared the terrifying details of booking an Uber to take him to a local fast-food outlet in Kempton Park close to the hotel where he was staying.
The 'Evolve' singer, who hails from Phillipi in Cape Town told fans, "I share this with you, not for your sympathy... but so you are aware of the cruelty that this world has to offer."
"We're driving to the McDonalds, and all of a sudden we drive down this weirdly dark road... before I know it, there are two guys inside the car."

"I was dragged out of the car, and they threw me on the floor and before I knew it, the Uber sped off... One of the guys says to me, 'Scream and I'll kill you.'"

Gysman goes on to describe how he was dragged onto an open field and stripped of his clothes, cellphone, watch and bag.
He was ordered to transfer R3000 into his attackers' account via his banking app.
Gysman admits the ordeal had left him shaken, but had reaffirmed his faith and he expressed gratitude for surviving the traumatic incident.
Despite the trauma, Anslin reassured his followers that he was 'okay' and 'healing'.
Followers, including comedian Alfred Adriaan who recently relocated from Jozi to the Mother City, posted well wishes and words of support for Gysman.
Adriaan commented, "We have never met. I just wanted to wish you well. This is extremely traumatic and I thank you for sharing this difficult ordeal. It really hit home for me because I’m in Ubers around Jhb all the time. Be safe get well and take care."
