JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC)'s highest decision-making body will on Friday analyse the party's state following its poor performance at the recent polls.
The party lost its 30-year absolute majority after the election earlier this year.
Its four-day national executive committee (NEC) meeting is held at the Birchwood Hotel in Boksburg in Ekurhuleni.
The party's Secretary General - Fikile Mbalula - says multiple reports will be presented at the meeting to pinpoint how the party fell flat.
"We want to deal with an analysis of the state of the organisation and adopt a programme of rebuilding the African National Congress. So those are items for this meeting."
A report will be presented in the ANC NEC meeting on the state of the organisation.
