VIDEOS: Table Mountain lower cable station fire, 400 visitors stuck at the top evacuated
The fire is believed to have been caused by Lithium batteries
Reports suggest the fire was caused by lithium batteries.
About 400 hundred visitors were reportedly stuck at the top of Table Mountain as the cablecars were unable to run due to the thick smoke, but SANParks has stated that the backup power system was activated and they began an evacuation via the cablecars.
