CAPE TOWN - An accused in the high-profile trial against underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack insists she was part of a police investigation against Modack.
The accused faces charges for allegedly plotting attacks on slain top cop Charl Kinnear, before his eventual murder in September 2020.
Modack and 14 co-accused face 122 charges for various crimes, including the murder of Kinnear.
Defence attorney Pauline Andrews questioned Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) captain Franklin Stone on Thursday about his testimony related to co-accused Amaal Jantjies.

It's the state's case that in November 2019, Jantjies attempted to use the AGU to have her then-boyfriend Yannick Adonis released from prison.
Jantjies claims the AGU was using herself and Adonis to share information to help them arrest Modack.

Adonis, a fellow co-accused had been on trial for murder at the time.
Meanwhile, Andrews told the court she would argue there was more going on, related to the AGU's dealings with Adonis and Jantjies.
The trial continues.
