Last Friday, the Port of Cape Town was named Africa’s Leading Cruise Port at the 31st Annual World Travel Awards.
The other finalists for the title were the Port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, the Port of Durban, the Port of Mombasa in Kenya, and the Port of Zanzibar.
This year, the port welcomed the historic arrivals of the Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2. About 140 000 passengers made their way through the cruise terminal.
