Parly praises late Princess Sibuyiselwe Buthelezi as 'a powerful force for positive change'

CAPE TOWN - Parliament has paid tribute to Princess Sibuyiselwe Buthelezi who died in the early hours of Monday morning.
Parliament's presiding officers said that Buthelezi's voice in Parliament was a "powerful force for positive change" during her tenure.
Buthelezi, became a member of the National Assembly during the sixth term of Parliament before being sworn in again this year.
She was the youngest child of the late Inkatha Freedom Party leader and founder, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
"At the time of her passing, she was serving in the parliamentary oversight committees on human settlements and tourism. Previously, she served on committees on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and Water and Sanitation. In these roles, Princess Buthelezi distinguished herself through rigorous oversight and a steadfast commitment to accountability, which greatly enhanced the effectiveness of parliamentary processes. Her voice in Parliament was a powerful force for positive change," said Parliament spokesperson, Moloto Mothapo.
