IFP will hold its National Elective Conference for new leadership in 2025

DURBAN - The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has announced it will hold its National Elective Conference for new leadership next year.
This will be the party’s first conference since the passing of its founding president Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
The current leadership's term of office lapsed in August but was extended by its national council.
IFP president Velenkosini Hlabisa briefed journalists in Durban on Monday afternoon.
“We need to active the party activities to prepare for a conference, indeed conference will sit next year.”
Hlabisa added the party also has various tasks to complete ahead of the conference including the election of constituencies and commissions.
“Once the process of auditing is finalised as we gave timeframe, the national council will then decide on the timeline.”
