EC motorists urged to exercise caution amid heavy rain forecast
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning that may lead to disruptive rainfall and localised flooding in parts of the Eastern Cape.

CAPE TOWN - The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning that may lead to disruptive rainfall and localised flooding in parts of the Eastern Cape.
The weather service has warned that the Nelson Mandela Bay region and surrounding areas are expected to be hit by heavy rains and strong that will be damaging to property and Infrastructure.

It’s understood the inclement weather conditions in affected areas are likely to persist until Tuesday.
The Department of Transport in the province is urging motorists to be cautious.
"We are appealing to the motorists to exercise caution on our roads, as most of them are wet and slippery. Transport and Community Safety MEC, Xolile Nqatha has called on motorists to reduce speed and adhere to the rules of the roads,” said departmental spokesperson, Makhaya Komisa.
