Sixth Naledi child to die of suspected food poisoning to be laid to rest in Soweto

JOHANNESBURG - Katleho Olifant, the last child to die from a suspected poisoning incident in Naledi, Soweto will be laid to rest on Saturday morning.
Olifant’s five friends died last week after allegedly consuming snacks from a local spaza shop.
The children suffered severe symptoms including diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting before succumbing.
Olifant spent a week in hospital before he too succumbed.
On Saturday, family and friends are expected to gather at the Soweto Naledi Hall to bid farewell to the Grade 1 pupil.
