CAPE TOWN - National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola said they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the murders of alleged Cape Town gang boss, Peter Jaggers, and another man.
Their bodies were found floating in a Free State river earlier this week.
Jaggers, who is believed to be the leader of the Terrible Josters gang, went missing in July while visiting Gauteng.
It's understood that he was kidnapped by members of a Colombian drug cartel he had allegedly double-crossed in a drug deal.
Masemola said they were working with their Colombian counterparts to get to the bottom of this matter.
"Our cooperation with other law enforcement agencies is quite good, especially your South American countries. We are working with them, we are sharing intelligence and that's why we are able to arrest drug mules that are coming to Cape Town or Johannesburg. Recently, we arrested one that came in via Ethiopia."
