JOHANNESBURG - The lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa trial said he's convinced that the footballer was killed by intruders and not the people who were with him in the house where he was shot.
Brigadier Bongani Gininda started his testimony in the Pretoria High Court on Thursday.

Meyiwa was shot at the home of his then-girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo, in 2014 in Vosloorus.
Gininda listed factors that swayed him and led him to exclude Longwe Twala as the gunman.
This includes the ballistic testing of his father Sello's gun, which was rumoured to have been used by Longwe to murder Meyiwa.
"The ballistic test was negative, meaning this was not the firearm that was used to discharge the bullet point or projectile that was found on the crime scene and the one that killed the deceased."
