Gauteng matrics take pledge ahead of final exams
The aim of the pledge is to ensure the final matric exams are concluded without any irregularities.

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane is leading a pledge signing ceremony ahead of the start of matric exams next week.
The aim of the pledge is to ensure the final matric exams are concluded without any irregularities.
It emphasises the integrity and dedication of each learner taking the exam and helps to avoid issues during the exam.
More than 189,000 candidates will sit for their final exams from Monday until 28 November.
Speaking to Eyewitness News at the Ahmed Timol Secondary School in Krugersdorp, students said they were ready for the exams.
"It means a lot, especially to us grade 12s, we're like a family. We've been through a long year, the teachers have tried their best, giving us extra classes and we really appreciate that. We are kind of ready for the journey ahead," Katlehong Taung said.
"It's the start of something new. I'm excited to complete my matric and see what new adventures are ahead for me," Nabila Sayed said.
