TZANEEN - Emotions are high at the Mboweni residence on Friday where the remains of Finance Minister Tito Mboweni have arrived.
Mboweni succumbed to an illness at Milpark Hospital in Joburg almost a week ago.

The family said this is part of Mboweni's dying wishes, among several other things that they've asked not to be divulged as they are sacred and sensitive.
Before his arrival, his remains made their way from Joburg, where he died, to his private residence in Magoebaskloof where a prayer session was held.

Later on Friday, another prayer session is expected to be held where community members will bid farewell to the Duke of Magoebaskloof.
