Stellenbosch University expresses shock following student's fatal stabbing
On Wednesday, a 19-year-old first year BSc student’s body was found by a security guard on patrol.

CAPE TOWN - Stellenbosch University has expressed shock after a student was stabbed to death.
His was found on Borcherd Road in Stellenbosch on Wednesday.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested.
Police confirmed the murdered Maties student was stabbed in the neck.
A security guard on patrol discovered the 19-year-old first-year BSc student’s body.
Despite an arrest, police said the motive was yet to be determined.
Stellenbosch University said the attack had left the campus community in shock. The institution has encouraged students who need counselling to contact the university’s 24-hour crisis service.
