CAPE TOWN - The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) says train services have been fully restored on all lines in the Western Cape.
The rail agency's Zino Mihi: "We are now operating at our standard 90% service level, following the successful resolution of recent disruptions that had temporarily reduced our capacity to 85%."
Last week, disruptions included the loss of power at the Paarden Eiland substation, affecting the northern line between Bellville and Cape Town.

Mihi said they'd also recorded a surge in stone-throwing incidents, causing damages to windows and resulting in the temporary shortage of operational train sets.
Repairs have been completed and PRASA has now intensified its collaboration with the police to address vandalism.
Meanwhile, Strand Station will remain closed until Friday for thorough disinfection, following a pipe burst last week.
