Despite being a fan favourite, Msizi Njapha has confirmed he has left ‘Umkhoha: The Cruse’.

He played Khulekani Mthembu, whose role in the telenovela was seemingly discontinued.

Speaking to Sunday World he says he was still enjoying the role but it ended.

“I really enjoyed playing Khulekani, we had so many similarities and differences. But I guess it’s time to let go.”

He also denied rumours that he was fired from the role.

“I know there’s a rumour that seems to suggest that I was becoming big-headed and egoistic on set. But this is not true… My storyline came to an end. Obviously, writers felt they needed to change Khulekani’s direction.”

But hopefully, this will not be the last time you will see Njapha.

He says he is working on something big and 'will not be off-screen for long'.

He took to Instagram to thank South Africans for their continued support.
