Truck crash on FW de Klerk Boulevard snarls up traffic out of CT

CAPE TOWN - There is no access on FW de Klerk Boulevard due to a truck accident at Lower Church Street.
Authorities said that the truck lost its load after it ploughed into the Lower Church bridge near Woodstock.
FW de Klerk Boulevard incoming remains open.
The accident has resulted in a snarl-up along the R27 as well.
The city's Maxine Bezuidenhout said that structural engineering teams were assessing the extent of the damage.
"No traffic is being allowed to cross the bridge at this time until its structural integrity has been assessed. We advise motorists to please factor some extra travelling time into their journeys and to find alternative routes where needed."
