City of Tshwane says power restored after substation fire caused outage

JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane said power has been restored after a substation caught fire.

Most parts of the city were without electricity on Thursday night when Eskom's feeder to the Kwagga substation went up in flames.

The metro said firefighters have extinguished the blaze.

It's unclear what sparked the fire.
