The ANC’s afternoon meeting will consist of representatives from the party’s Gauteng and Tshwane regions.
On the agenda, is the formation of a new government in the capital city.
There have been divisions within the ANC over whether the next mayor in Tshwane should come from the ANC or from a coalition partner.
The ANC’s newest partner, ActionSA, has been public about wanting its councillor and the current acting mayor, Nasiphi Moyà, to ascend to the top position.
In the meantime, the DA is still hopeful it can strike a deal with the ANC that will see Brink return to the mayoral office.
