CAPE TOWN - Thursday marks two months since the disappearance of Vredenburg matriculant, Romano Fredericks.
The 19-year-old was last seen leaving his family home on 3 August, to visit a friend in Port Owen.
It's believed that the Louwville High pupil left Port Owen and hitchhiked to Velddrif to watch a rugby match, from where it's understood he hitchhiked a lift home.
However, he vanished between Velddrif and Vredenburg and his cellphone was later traced to the town of Laingville.
Since his disappearance, Fredericks has missed his matric ball and his 19th birthday celebration.
A number of candlelight vigils and prayer sessions have been held in the West Coast town over the past two months, while search parties have been looking for any sign of the missing teen.
His aunt, Desiree Fredericks, said the past two months had been difficult for their family.
"We are trying to stay positive but there are certain days, certain times, certain things... especially all these small things that make us think of him... that it gets difficult... because he is a child that didn't walk around and we are used to him just being at home."
