Renowned gospel singer Solomon Molokoane, better known as Solly Moholo (65), has passed away.
His manager confirmed that he died in hospital on Wednesday (2 October).
“Solly Moholo was hospitalised after falling ill following his pre-album launch tour in Botswana. He will be sorely missed… Please keep the family in your prayers.”
In August, Moholo was rushed to hospital after falling ill after a performance.
His team last month revealed that he had suffered a stroke and was experiencing multiple organ failure.
Fans of the singer are flooding social media with tributes.
I was very young and clueless about the music industry. My mom handed me over to Malome Solly Moholo, he trained me and guided me throughout. It’s so painful to say Rest In Peace Malome Solly 💔💔💔💔😭😭😭
