WC Mobility MEC Sileku urges public to report extortion

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Mobility MEC Isaac Sileku has urged the public to report extortion.
He made the call at the launch of the provincial government's Mobility Month on Tuesday.

With the initiative now in its nineteenth year, Sileku said extortion and commuter safety will be the focus of Mobility Month in 2024.
Sileku said the month-long initiative was aimed at highlighting the crucial role transport plays in the province.
"Our focus is the safety of commuters, and we are also worried about extortion. We want to encourage people that are confronted with extortion to report, report, report any means of extortion."
