LUSIKISIKI - Eastern Cape police have increased visibility in Lusikisiki where 18 people were shot and killed.

Police top brass, including Minister Senzo Mchunu visited the murder scene on Tuesday to establish how Saturday's attack happened.

National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola said that a tactical response team would remain in the area.

"We also brought the Public Order Police (POP) in the area, we brought the SCF, which deals with gender-based violence in this area, so for stabilisation of what is currently happening, the current members of the Tactical Response Team (TRT) will they stay in the to stabilise."
