JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg Water said many suburbs may experience dry taps on Tuesday due to repairs on the Honeydew reservoir.
The work, which includes the delivery of pipework and fittings, started in the morning, and there is no estimated time for when the repairs will be completed.
Affected areas include Boskruin, Northriding, Zandspruit, and Mogale City.
Johannesburg Water spokesperson, Nolwazi Dlamini, said: "The repairs that need to be done include the scope of the planned maintenance work that was scheduled to commence on 1 October, and any additional work required as a result of the major burst event that occurred on Sunday. Johannesburg Water’s teams continue to prioritise the situation and are also providing alternative water supply to affected residents."
