WC Hawks nab 2 men in possession of R2m worth of drugs

CAPE TOWN -The Hawks in the Western Cape have arrested two people found with drugs worth almost R2 million on the N1 in Kraaifontein.
Members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation stopped and searched the car the pair was travelling in on Brighton Road on Friday.
Hawks spokesperson, Zinzi Hani said the vehicle’s occupants, aged 27 and 28, were arrested on the spot.
"During the search, members saw blocks wrapped in sellotape, undeniably 215 x 1kg parcels of compressed cannabis were found concealed in false compartments inside the trailer. The estimated value of the drugs is R1 720 000.
The duo, facing drug-dealing charges, is scheduled to appear in the Kuilsriver Magistrates Court on Monday.
