Search for suspects who killed 17 people in Lusikisiki continues

JOHANNESBURG - The search for the gunmen who shot and killed 17 people in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape continued on Sunday morning.
It's understood the attacks took place during the early hours of Saturday morning, in two separate households.
In the first incident, 13 people were murdered in one house - and another four were killed in the second home.

Police have confirmed that the two households are related.
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said no arrests had been made by Sunday morning.
“Our team has been on the ground ever since the news broke… We are not rushing our teams. We want them to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that we leave no stone unturned.”
