Zane Johnson speaks to Primedia Digital Content Editor Barbara Friedman about stories that are trending online.
Listen below.
If you're a Muizenberg resident or Capetonian, you would most likely know about the railway bridge on Atlantic Road which has been eating trucks and buses more than 2.5 meters in height, for years.
The bridge has eaten the top of so many heavyweight vehicles over the years that it's been nicknamed 'Bridget', 'Bridgie' and 'Cape Town's Hungriest Bridge.'
Despite the many articles warning drivers about Bridget, damaged vehicles and a new over-height-and-length warning system which includes flashing lights, Bridget is still eating up some heavyweight vehicles, resulting in traffic nightmares and viral social media posts.
The latest victim? A bus which apparently didn't see these warning signs...
Nathan Titus captured a video of the moment and shared it just after 10 pm on Wednesday (25 September).

As always, the comments are pure South African gold as the jokes flowed from this bad situation.
Some users commented, "At least Bridget got a late-night snack!" Others sent laughing emojis to deal with the ongoing cycle of drivers who continue to miss the warning signs and don't get the memo about Cape Town's hungriest bridge.
