Council for Geoscience urges Gauteng residents to fill in online questionnaire on latest tremor

JOHANNESBURG - The Council for Geoscience urges the public to record their experiences of Tuesday night’s tremors in an online questionnaire.
The earth tremor was experienced in most parts of Johannesburg south, Roodepoort and Soweto just before 8 pm.
The preliminary results show that the earthquake registered a local magnitude of approximately 2.5.
The council said the epicentre was located west of Soweto, south of Johannesburg.
This is the third tremor to hit Gauteng this year.
