TSHWANE - The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng expects a decision to be made on Tuesday regarding the future of the City of Tshwane amid ongoing leadership squabbles.

The DA hopes to retain power in the metro with the African National Congress (ANC)'s assistance following ActionSA's decision to terminate their partnership.
DA provincial chairperson Solly Msimanga believes an arrangement with the ANC could stabilise governance.
“We have said from the get-go that we would want to have stability not only in Tshwane but across municipalities in Gauteng. We are not impressed, and the fact of having to change mayors so quickly in the metros is something of great concern. This has been the approach from us to the ANC and other political parties, including ActionSA.”
