JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng said it had not yet reached an agreement with the African National Congress (ANC) regarding a potential coalition to co-govern the City of Tshwane.
The two parties have been engaged in discussions over the composition of government in the city.
This follows ActionSA's announcement that it intends to end its coalition with the DA in favor of forming a partnership with the ANC to gain control of the metro.
DA provincial chairperson, Solly Msimanga, said that frequent changes in government would continue to negatively impact service delivery.
"If we are going to be talking about how to bring in stability, we have proposed a stability pact to say how do we ensure that there are no further motions in a number of municipalities. So this is the conversation that we have been engaging on but as things stand, there is no final deal on the table as yet."
