Naledi Pandor to take the reins as Nelson Mandela Foundation chairperson
This follows professor Njabulo Ndebele's retirement from the position after more than a decade at the helm.

JOHANNEBSBURG – The former International Relations Minister – Dr Naledi Pandor - has been appointed as the board chairperson for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
This follows Professor Njabulo Ndebele's retirement from the position after more than a decade at the helm.
Ndebele also served on the board for 25 years.
From 1 October 2024, Pandor will become the third person to hold the position since the organisation was established in 1999.
“Dr Pandor offers the foundation just what it needs for the next phase of his development. I wish her every success in her role,” said Ndebele.
He added that it was time for him “to make way for fresh leadership and embark on a new phase of my life journey”.
