JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Fikile Mbalula says the party will continue to honour the late Pravin Gordhan for getting rid of corruption in government.
Mbalula spoke at the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation’s memorial service on Sunday, which was held in honour of the former Public Enterprises Minister.
Gordhan died two weeks ago at a Johannesburg hospital after a battle with cancer.

Speaking at the memorial, Mbalula hailed Gordhan as a fearless crusader against corruption, highlighting his efforts to restore integrity in public office.
Mbalula emphasised that the ANC would carry forward Gordhan’s legacy by continuing to fight maladministration and ensuring accountability within State institutions.
"Don't cry that they criticise PG [Gordhan]. Just look at who is criticising, and then you will be answered and be happy that, no, these are crooks who are criticising this man, and look at what they are criticising him for - you will be happy. It is about what he did in the fight for renewal."
Last week, Gordhan was afforded a State funeral, followed by a private cremation.
His passing marks the end of an era, but his legacy as a principled leader will continue to inspire future generations.
