N3 toll route closed between Ladysmith and Harrismith following a collision between two trucks

JOHANNESBURG - The N3 toll route is currently closed to traffic near Van Reenen Town between Ladysmith and Harrismith.
 
This followed a collision between two trucks, resulting in a spill.
 
Motorists travelling on the route are advised to avoid the area.
 
The concession's COO, Thania Dhoogra, said there was no indication as to when the road would be fully reopened to traffic.

"Emergency services team are on scene attending to the clean up and recovery operations. All traffic is currently stacked on the scene and road users are advised to delay travel to the area until further notice. There is currently a backlog for traffic and congestion in the vicinity of the crash."
