CAPE TOWN - Child rights group Women and Men Against Child Abuse says it's disappointed in the postponement of court proceedings involving a former Rondebosch Boys Prep teacher accused of child sexual abuse.
Ian Wares's sexual assault trial at the Wynberg Regional Court was scheduled to continue on Thursday, with the State's next witness taking the stand.
However, the presiding magistrate called in sick and the matter was postponed to 26 November.

The 85-year-old is accused of multiple counts of sexual and physical abuse of young boys in South Africa and the UK.
One of Iain Wares's alleged victims, a former pupil at Rondebosch Boys Prep, accuses his former teacher of abusing him in the 1980s.
Women and Men Against Child Abuse's Miranda Jordan said that the dragging of this case was upsetting.
"The local hearing is at a critical point as the last State witness was due to testify. The main complainant has finished, and we were hoping this would be the last day of witness testimonies."
