Renaldo Gouws hasn't appealed expulsion from DA, says party
The DA said it was still in the process of replacing Gouws in the party’s Parliamentary caucus after firing him last week.

CAPE TOWN - The Democratic Alliance (DA) says Renaldo Gouws hasn't appealed his expulsion from the party and losing his National Assembly (NA) seat.
The party is also still in the process of replacing Gouws in the party’s Parliamentary caucus after firing him last week.

The DA said Gouws would forfeit his seat in the NA, following an investigation by the party’s federal legal commission.
Gouws was found guilty of contravening “several sections of the DA's constitution” after video footage of him resurfaced using racist and derogatory language.
DA spokesperson Willie Aucamp:“He does have room to appeal but we haven't received an appeal from him.”
