JOHANNESBURG - Global veteran artist, Janet Jackson, will no longer join the star-studded line-up of the DStv Delicious Festival this weekend.
Organisers confirmed the news in an official statement on Tuesday, following speculation over her performance at the annual two-day event.
Jackson lost her brother, Tito Jackson, who was also revered as an icon in the music industry, on Sunday after he suffered a heart attack.
As a result, the legendary singer/songwriter will no longer be able to travel to South Africa for the music extravaganza.
Organisers have, however, assured fans that they would make up for her absence by adding a suitable headline artist to the line-up.
This weekend art lovers will be treated to a two-day feast of music, food and top-tier entertainment, with Grammy Award-winning artists including Jill Scott and the Soweto Gospel Choir set to wow audiences.
Fans who wish to exchange their Saturday tickets for Sunday have been advised to do so online.
