ANC set to hold memorial service for Gordhan at Joburg City Hall
The anti-apartheid activist, who died in hospital last week after a short battle with cancer, is scheduled to be cremated in Durban on Thursday.

JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) is set to hold a memorial service for former Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan on Tuesday.
The service will take place at the Johannesburg City Hall at 4pm.
The anti-apartheid activist died in hospital last week after a short battle with cancer.

Gordhan is scheduled to be cremated in Durban on Thursday.
His longtime friends and fellow freedom fighters remember him as a selfless father and husband who dedicated his life to serving the oppressed.
The ANC has expressed deep gratitude for Gordhan’s contributions, stating that his efforts toward a non-racial society will never be forgotten.
The party describes him as a beacon of courage, with his legacy forever etched in history.
In addition to Tuesday's memorial service in Johannesburg, another one will take place in Durban on Wednesday.
