JOHANNESBURG - Industry colleagues of late Kwaito star Sandile 'Mapaputsi' Ngwenya have called for unity and self-introspection to allow for greater recognition.
Saturday, dozens of mourners gathered at the Dlamini Multipurpose Centre Hall in Soweto, to bid the music legend farewell.

The Izinja hitmaker died in a KZN hospital at the beginning of this month, following a short illness.
Speakers at his sendoff shared their fondest memories spent with Mapaputsi.
Friend and industry colleague Israel Matseke Zulu says to honour Mapaputsi, musicians should unite and make the journey easier for younger creatives.
"We need to figure out our mistakes as artist, what is our problem and try to find a solution. I love music but I hate the system, I love music wholeheartedly, but I don't like the system, I never liked the system of music because I am not even a part of the system."
